Meet Crux ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Meet Crux mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Google, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Profile picture (if available)
Audio Recordings
The App records audio conversations at trade shows and networking events. These recordings are:
- Stored locally on your device until uploaded
- Uploaded to secure cloud storage (Google Firebase) for processing
- Processed by AI to generate transcripts and lead summaries
- Deleted from our servers after 90 days (you can request earlier deletion)
Camera and Business Card Images
When you scan business cards, the App:
- Captures images using your device camera
- Uploads images to secure cloud storage for OCR processing
- Extracts contact information (name, company, email, phone, etc.)
- Stores the extracted data as leads in your account
Lead Data
We store information about your leads including:
- Contact details extracted from business cards
- Conversation summaries and discussion context
- AI-generated follow-up suggestions
- Lead "hotness" scores based on conversation analysis
How We Use Your Information
- Provide the Service: Process recordings, extract leads, generate summaries
- Improve the App: Use your feedback and support tickets to enhance features
- Customer Support: Respond to your inquiries and support requests
- Security: Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
Data Storage and Security
We use Google Firebase for secure cloud storage and authentication. Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
- Data is stored in Google Cloud data centers
- Access is restricted to authenticated users only
- You can only access your own recordings, leads, and data
Third-Party AI Data Processing
Meet Crux uses Google Gemini AI, a service provided by Google LLC, to process your data. Before any data is sent to Google's AI service, you are asked for explicit consent within the App.
Data Sent to Google Gemini AI
The following personal data is transmitted to Google's servers for AI processing:
- Audio recordings of your conversations at events
- Business card images you capture using the App
- Your profile name and company to provide context for processing
Purpose of AI Processing
This data is sent to Google Gemini AI solely for the following purposes:
- Generating text transcripts from audio recordings
- Extracting contact information from business card images
- Producing conversation summaries and follow-up message drafts
- Assigning lead relevance scores based on conversation content
How Google Handles Your Data
We use the Google Gemini API with data governance safeguards. Under Google's API Terms of Service, data sent through the Gemini API is not used by Google to train its AI models. Google processes the data solely to provide the API response and does not retain your inputs or outputs beyond the processing period.

Other Third-Party Services
In addition to Google Gemini AI, we use the following Google services:
- Google Firebase: Authentication, secure cloud storage, and cloud functions
- Google Sign-In: Account authentication
All third-party service providers we use are required to protect your data with security measures that are the same as, or equivalent to, the protections described in this policy.
Data Retention
- Audio recordings: Deleted from cloud storage after 90 days
- Lead data: Retained until you delete it or close your account
- Account information: Retained while your account is active
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Delete: Request deletion of your account and data
- Export: Download your leads in CSV format
- Correct: Update inaccurate information
